How much does it cost?

This document describes Kronometrix pricing model.

Kronometrix is licensed based on the number of data-sources being used, no matter of the type of installation: as a service or on-premises.

A data-source is defined as any system connected to a public or private network with at least one valid IPv4, IPv6 address, associated to a single Kronometrix data subscription. For example e.g. a computer system running FreeBSD or Debian operating system, an automatic weather station with an intelligent data logger, a database server, a 3D CAD workstation, a network IP camera.

As a service (SaaS)

Running Kronometrix as a service means you are entitled to use the software for a period of time, having the right to renew and having access to certain software features, using different service plans. Customer needs to have a contract, defined for a period of time, which can be annual or monthly basis, which includes different support options and capabilities.

In general, the cost of the service is less than the upfront perpetual on-premises cost, usually marked and processed as operating expenses (OpEx).

Kronometrix SaaS

Kronometrix as a service, has a very affordable, low cost price model, based on the number of data-sources being used. The service, is offered for a period of time of 30 days, free, with no commitments. During the trial period, customer can use the service,  provision any data for all supported industries, all features included. After the trial period, the customer should decide if will continue by selecting a certain service and support level. There are three service plans:

where, each service plan is defined and described below:

  • START – the lowest cost, entry level, with basic support and no SLA. Annual commitment is always cheaper with 1 year contract, starting at 5,95€ per data-source.
  • BUSINESS – if you have a business and need a standard 8×5 support with SLA. Requires annual commitment.
  • PREMIUM – for small and medium companies, which run their business in cloud, need access to more data, require better support coverage and SLA. Requires annual commitment.

Kronometrix CloudView

Built on top of Kronometrix SaaS service, Kronometrix CloudView service, it is a ICT managed service for small and medium companies which run their business in cloud or private networks. Includes performance and availability measurements for bare-metal or virtual computer systems, web applications, and other enterprise services, combined with a managed services option, to keep up important production services running and operational. 

There are three different service plans, all including SLA, managed services option, incident management and other features, described below:

  • STANDARD – the entry level, for small companies, with standard 8×5 support and SLA. Requires annual commitment.
  • PREMIUM – for small and medium companies, which run their business in cloud, and require good support with a 24×7 support coverage and SLA. Requires annual commitment.
  • MISSION CRITICAL – for small, medium or large companies, which run their business in cloud or private networks, which need access to data, require very good support coverage and SLA with a fast response time. Requires annual commitment.

On-premises

Running Kronometrix on-premises means you own the product and you have the rights to use the software indefinitely. The payment can be monthly, annual or a single upfront payment, which will include support and software updates for 1 year, from the date of the purchase. At the end of the first year, you will need to select if you would like to to continue to receive support and software updates, for an additional fee.

Kronometrix on-premises starts at: 

749,00 € /month – Kronometrix Distributed Data Fabric. Includes: software image for Intel x64 or ARM64 computer systems, 100 data-sources license, standard 8×5 support, annual commitment. The price is exclusive of value added tax. Includes:

  • a single upfront payment, for perpetual license to use the software
  • license to use and process 100 data-sources 
  • up to three separate installations
  • support and software updates for 1 year
  • flexible billing options: monthly, annual or single upfront payment

You can easily upgrade and select a different volume data-source configuration, based on your business and select another support plan for your product. 

Kronometrix on-premises software and perpetual licenses associated with it, are usually obtained and purchased using capital expenditures (CapEx) model, including the product depreciation over a period of time, usually from three to five years.
