- It provides high-speed transport for data consolidation, analysis and visualization in real-time, including:
- data recording for industrial IoT, ICT enterprise, weather and environment
- transport utilities
- data cortex for numerical processing, filtering, analysis and visualization
- It is runs closer to operating system, tightly coupled to multi processors configurations, having access to high memory address space, for in-memory processing
- Integrates advanced storage capabilities, like: prevent silent data corruption, on-fly raw data compression
- Supports x64 or ARM64 bare-metal systems or it runs as a virtual instance for different hypervisor architectures, like KVM, Xen, HyperV, Nutanix
- Delivers data using several transport protocols, like HTTP and WEBSOCKET for responsive user-interface visualization and real-time API calls
- Can be installed and deployed on internal private network, on cloud computing environments or closely to sensors and devices for edge and fog computing
- It can be accessed and operated on-premises or as a service
- It is priced per data-source
What Kronometrix is not?
- It is not a generic Windows or Linux based application
- It is not yet another SNMP network monitoring system
- It is not a downloadable software package for your operating system
- It cannot be installed on a mobile device, like phone or table. However it can be used from such mobile devices
- It is not an application for game consoles like PlayStation or XBox
- It is not designed to install for real-time operating system, like QNX or FreeRTOS
Frequently asked questions
What is a data platform?
A data platform is a unified system which involves constructing a computing fabric consisting of interconnected nodes that look like a “weave” or a “fabric” when viewed collectively from a distance. The main advantages of data fabrics are that massive concurrent processing combined with a huge, tightly coupled address space makes it possible to solve huge computing problems (such as those presented by delivery of cloud computing services); and that they are both scalable and able to be dynamically reconfigured.
Is Kronometrix a data analytics platform?
Yes.
What makes Kronometrix a data analytics platform?
Kronometrix is a unified solution, which connects to a wide variety of data sources: everything from IoT devices, ICT enterprise to weather and environment sensors. In addition to multifaceted data ingress, Kronometrix provides high-speed transport mechanisms for data consolidation, analysis and visualization in real-time.
What operating systems Kronometrix supports?
Kronometrix comes with its own operating system, configured and tuned for data processing and analysis. The supported operating system is based on UNIX FreeBSD 64bit supporting x64 and ARM64.
Can I download Kronometrix data analytics platform for free?
No. But you can start use it for free, using Kronometrix SaaS.
What industries Kronometrix supports?
Industrial IoT, ICT, Weather and Environment
What is Kronometrix Data Recording?
What is Kronometrix IoT Gateway?
Kronometrix IoT Gateway is a complete and integrated software solution for ARM single-board computers, which contains all needed modules to record and transport data, offering at the same time access to raw data and management functions. It is aimed for industrial IoT, edge or fog computing, to access different hardware equipment and sensors. If you work and develop various solutions in these industries, Kronometrix IoT Gateway is simple and efficient to use, coming with a commercial support 8×5 or 24×7.
For example Kronometrix IoT Gateway is used as the default IoT gateway for Kronometrix Indoor Air Quality, Weather and Industrial IoT measurements.

Can I change an existing data recorder, to improve it?
Yes, you can. Please visit and join, Kronometrix Data Recording project. Open a new issue for particular data recorder you are interested in and we can work together. We are more than happy to receive help.
Does Kronometrix IoT Gateway run on embedded systems or micro-controller architectures?
No. If you are interested in porting Kronometrix IoT Gateway to a micro-controller architecture please contact us support@kronometrix.com
Why Kronometrix IoT Gateway is using a general purpose UNIX based operating system?
Because simplicity, performance, management and costs. To build an IoT gateway requires access to storage, network and serial communication protocols which general purpose UNIX/POSIX based operating systems are providing. Embedded systems and micro-controller architectures have a reduced number of functions, with a more complex development and support path.
Why Kronometrix IoT Gateway is not using Raspbian operating system ?
Kronometrix technologies have selected FreeBSD as the operating system for the data analytics platform, gateway, databus products based on its merits: performance, scalability and security. We have conducted a number of internal tests where we have compared Debian/Raspbian and FreeBSD. We have found that FreeBSD was performing better than the Linux based variants in: storage IO, network, security and management.
Why Kronometrix is not running under Windows operating system?
